BugNet

I just installed BugNet on a Windows XP system at work. It was easy to set up and I like the user interface. However, I ran into a problem: the FCKEditor wouldn’t load when I browsed from a remote system.

As it turned out, FCKEditor includes XML files. The FCKEditor XML files included in the latest release of BugNet contain comments that, for some reason, IIS 5.1 doesn’t like at all. The request for the fckstyles.xml file simply wouldn’t work- the connection is aborted and no data is returned. Remove the comments (including the ones with XML in them) from that file, and it works.

I hope this prevented another hours-long Google trek for you!

    Hi Dave ,
After removing the comments you wrote about , I still have problems in the
IssueDetail.aspx page. Instead of the htmleditor on the Description section ,
I get this “The page cannot be found” message. If you have any idea about solving this , I would be very thankful.
