About Me

I have been writing software on the .NET platform since 2001. Since that time I’ve worked on many different systems including web portals, asset management, ERP, CRM, content management, email, and SOA. I credit my love of research and the bleeding edge with a stint at Microsoft Product Support, where I learned how to learn about technology.

I’m seriously into many of the latest .NET toys, especially Silverlight. I’m also interested in software development as a practice and craft.

I believe code can be beautiful.

    Hi,
I just found your post on Stackoverflow:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/855808/visual-studio-2008-plug-in-add-in-development-getting-started

Did you “finish” your plugin? Any chance for Open Source? I am just starting something similar, and no need to reinvent the wheel. Actually, I am writing a remote control app to control VS with a touchscreen netbook sitting next to the big screen :-)

If you have some code for me or are interested in my progress, just let me know. Greetings from Berlin,

    Chris

      Chris,

I have been working on a VS plugin to track time spent on a project. I’ll be getting back to it soon, and will post it to Codeplex once I have the basics in and an installer working. I’ll be blogging about it along the way, stay tuned!

Dave- I have come to your site through a question that you posted about a bluetooth idea. I am not a programmer and have no skills in this area. I have an idea that is similar to yours and I was wondering if you had made any progress with it. I was hoping that you could maybe direct me to where I could see if there is a solution. Thanks for any help. Jonathan Page
